Two businesses popular with Lincoln High alums are in the news:
Dick’s Drive-In, which opened its first restaurant on 45th Street 36 years ago, plans to open a new restaurant in Edmonds next year. That will make six locations in all for the restaurant chain. Its Wallingford location is especially popular with Lincoln High alums. The north-end location was chosen by an online poll.
However, another Seattle icon, the Buckaroo Tavern, closed its doors in mid September 2010. The 72-year-old landmark on Fremont Avenue lost its lease.
Mavis also sent some photos from past gatherings.
