Our 50th Reunion was a gala affair! The Embassy Suites is a
fine venue with many of us spending the night there.
We began partying with down-home socializing and drinks. The
group picture was taken - 118 grads out of a class of 563. We had the
largest graduating class in 1953 of all the eight Seattle high schools.
The food was good and the program short. The Committee's
main objective was to bring us all together to be together. Prizes were
given for: Most Miles Traveled; Most Great Grandkids and Most Reunions
Attended (excluding the Committee!).
We ended our program by singing our Alma Mater, “Hail to Mighty
Lincoln” - still a very moving song evoking memories of assemblies,
Memorial Stadium games and friendships.
Dancing and socializing followed.
Breakfast on Sunday was low-key, renewing friendships again and
sharing our lives. We all look forward to our 55th Reunion!
